Bio:"Video Gamer, English Lover, Power Ranger, and Religion Student. Four things that have never belonged together before, but create a synergistic effect in my existence."

Greetings and salutations, everyone.

My name is Wesley. I am 18 years old, a male, who is now in his 12th year of school, otherwise known as "the Senior Year". I am currently 6'1", 165 pounds, with stocky, broad shoulders (I could be a football player). I have no idea what career path I want to choose quite yet, since I have so many interests. Between wanting to become a radio host, college professor, religion expert, and a journalist-esque/editor person, I have no idea what I like anymore.

Video gaming is a huge part of what makes me the way I am. I've literally been gaming since I was two years old, and like most people these days, my first video game, as far as I know, was Super Mario Bros. I've been a frantic gamer ever since, which even caused me to fake being sick during elementary school so I could go home and play our Sega Genesis. I was, and still am, quite nuts in that reguard. I have an NES, SNES, Nintendo 64 (Special Pikachu Edition), Nintendo Gamecube, Wii, Gameboy, Nintendo DS Lite, Sega Genesis, Sega GameGear, Xbox, Playstation, and a Playstation 2, with games for each console. I collect NES and SNES games, and could probably make a small fortune if I sold them all. (but for now, I'm just enjoying them) My favorite genres would have to be platformers, side-scrollers, RPGs, rhythm-action, and puzzle games, but I can play pretty much any genre, except for first-person shooters. Halo 2 is the only one that I'm fairly decent at playing. I absolutely love Nintendo and Capcom, and MegaMan is my favorite series of video games, no matter which series it is.

I love listening to music, but my tastes are peculiar. I definitely love listening to remixes of video game music, but they have to be at least sound close to the original, otherwise it loses a lot in the translation between genres. I also enjoy anime music, as per usual, but I'm expecially picky about which music I listen to, also as per usual. I can enjoy pretty much anything as long as it has a beat (and I'm forced to listen to the songs multiple times, a la Elite Beat Agents). Super Sentai music has a good feel to it, and the songs are enjoyable as long as they aren't heavily synthesized.

I love reading. I can read pretty much anything. I loved the Left Behind series when it was coming out, and I certainly enjoyed the Soon series by the same author. I like reading religious texts, as well. I dunno, I just like reading about other religions. I definitely study the Bible, which is why I love hermeneutics. It's fun to learn what was going through people's minds when they were writing it, like one of my favorite passages describing Laodicea and the water supply, but alas, that's too large of a story for right now. Anyway, I also love reading the translated Haruhi Suzumiya novels, as they provide far more character development for each main character, especially Nagato and Kyon. And I like reading various blogs, but it's hard to keep up with some of these insane posters these days. What happened to the good old days when a single post per week heralded the user as an extremely active blogger?

As for TV shows, well... it's plain to see that I enjoy anime. I've actually been an anime fan for sixteen years so far (I'm old-school), with my first anime being-...well, I'll let you figure it out yourself. But aside from anime, I like shows like 24, Prison Break, Heroes, Mythbusters, Smallville, and ESPECIALLY Power Rangers. I am a Power Rangers fanatic, and I'm still keeping up with all the new seasons. I also enjoy watching programs on Fox News, but it seems that I have less time to watch anything for a solid hour these days with all that I have going on. I definitely love watching The Way of the Master, and it's actually the only reality show that I can handle anymore.

I also enjoy listening to podcasts. I first got into the hobby when browsing around Daizenshuu EX, when they first got into the podcasting scene. I listened to episode #5 first, then ended up listening to each of the previous episodes that very day. Since then, I've become a bit of a podcast junky, listening to shows like GoNintendo, and especially The Way of the Master Radio. I love the host, I love everything I learn from it, it's fantastic. It's quality radio, for sure.

Not much else to say, really. That's Wesley in a nutshell, it seems. I would appreciate people leaving comments, if they could. I don't care if it's insulting or whatever, just comment, it's always fun to get them.

Thanks for reading!
